Meet Perrin Black, a fifth-year PhD candidate at Meharry Medical College, whose research focuses on improving treatment options for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). By studying how TNBC heterogeneity influences invasiveness and metastasis, Perrin aims to identify new therapeutic targets to prevent cancer spread. His work represents a critical step toward better outcomes for patients facing this aggressive disease.

Tennessee State University researcher, Dr. Jemal Gishe has been working on a paper on the EPICC implementation capacity survey, which will be presented at the 18th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health. This work was conducted across 3 institutions, using the CFIR framework to identify barriers and tailor support for implementing evidence-based programs in faith-based settings. The study offers a proactive, community-driven approach to advancing health equity and chronic disease prevention.
